Tertiary Minerals uncovers continuation of rich copper vein in Zambia

Tertiary Minerals PLC announced encouraging initial drilling outcomes at its Mushima North copper and zinc project in Zambia, confirming the continuation of a higher-grade copper zone across the northern section of Target A1.

Preliminary pXRF analysis revealed significant mineralization, including a 45-metre interval grading 0.41% copper and 0.28% zinc starting at 12 metres depth, highlighted by a 6-metre section with 1.01% copper. Additional intersections recorded 55 metres at 0.32% copper and 0.29% zinc, and 73 metres at 0.29% copper and 0.38% zinc.

Indicative silver readings from the first 12 holes reached up to 214 grams per tonne. Tertiary noted these silver values are semi-quantitative, with all reported intersections measured as downhole widths; true widths are yet to be determined.

Supporting the existing exploration target of 15-30 million tonnes grading 40-60 grams per tonne silver equivalent, infill drilling continues to progress ahead of planned work to define a JORC-compliant mineral resource. To date, 22 holes totaling 2,175 metres have been completed as part of a 4,000-metre drilling programme, with certified laboratory results expected in the coming weeks.

These results reinforce Tertiary Minerals’ confidence in the Mushima North project’s potential and mark a significant step toward advancing the resource evaluation and development plans.
