NexMetals unlocks new potential at Selkirk Project

NexMetals Mining Corp. announced a promising breakthrough at its Selkirk Project in Botswana, located 75 kilometers northeast of its main Selebi Project. This copper-nickel-platinum group elements mine, once active, has now revealed a much larger resource than previously known, thanks to a detailed new assessment by The MSA Group.

The updated Mineral Resource Estimate showed a 63% increase in contained copper equivalent metal, with over 1.1 billion pounds classified as Indicated resources. This leap was driven by improved testing methods, expanded data on valuable metals like cobalt, silver, and gold, and more efficient mining plans with a reduced strip ratio, making extraction easier and more cost-effective.

What makes this discovery exciting is Selkirk’s transformation from a secondary asset to a key multi-commodity site with cleaner, high-quality concentrates ready for market. The enhanced confidence in the resource and lower development risks suggest that Selkirk could soon become a major contributor to NexMetals’ growth, with plans underway to explore partnerships or further economic studies.

With these advances, NexMetals is charting a new path forward, turning Selkirk into a strategic jewel in its portfolio and setting the stage for future success in critical metals mining.
