Aldoro Resources sets stage for enhanced resource estimate at Kameelburg

Aldoro Resources is preparing to release an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its Kameelburg rare earths project in Namibia after completing a 15-hole, 7,190-metre Phase II diamond drilling programme that has significantly expanded confidence in the size, continuity and grade of the mineralised system.

The company announced that assays have now been received for all Phase II drill holes, clearing the way for an updated resource estimate expected in the near term. Aldoro said the revised MRE will incorporate all new drilling data and is expected to capture what it describes as the full scale of the Kameelburg carbonatite-hosted rare-earth, strontium, niobium, and molybdenum system.

The final batch of results included the best drill hole ever recorded at Kameelburg.

Hole DD008F intersected 542.9 metres grading 1.38% Total Rare Earth Oxides (TREO), 4.08% strontium carbonate (SrCO₃), 0.20% niobium oxide (Nb₂O₅) and 306 parts per million molybdenum, with mineralisation continuing to the bottom of the hole and remaining open at depth. The company said the intercept represents the highest grade-thickness product recorded at the project to date.

A second hole, DD008E, confirmed 496 metres grading 1.25% TREO, 3.87% SrCO₃, 0.18% Nb₂O₅ and 130ppm molybdenum.

In contrast, the final hole, DD013A, intersected a deep high-grade zone of 67.6 metres grading 1.71% TREO, 4.98% SrCO₃, 0.17% Nb₂O₅ and 691ppm molybdenum, which also remains open at depth.

According to Aldoro, the drilling confirms a mineralised system extending beyond 500 metres vertically and demonstrates continuity in multiple directions across the deposit.

The company believes the results from Drill Pad 8 alone could contribute approximately 30% of the updated mineral resource, following the completion of five major drill holes from the same platform.

The programme also strengthened confidence in the project’s development potential. DD008E confirmed a near-surface mineralised layer exceeding 200 metres true thickness, suggesting a favourable stripping ratio for future open-pit mining.

At the same time, earlier metallurgical test work achieved 99% strontium recovery and 72% rare earth extraction using hydrochloric acid leaching at room temperature.

The updated MRE will be the first to incorporate all 15 Phase II drill holes and is expected to provide a more comprehensive assessment of the project’s size and grade. Aldoro said the new estimate should reflect a large, continuous, high-grade multi-commodity carbonatite system with rare earth, strontium, niobium and molybdenum mineralisation confirmed across multiple drilling directions and at depth.

If the revised estimate confirms the scale indicated by the latest drilling, Kameelburg will strengthen its position among Namibia’s leading critical minerals projects at a time when global demand for rare earth elements continues to grow, driven by permanent magnets, electric vehicles, wind turbines and defence technologies.
