Weir to supply key equipment at Brightstar’s Laverton Plant

In Q1 2026, Weir, a global leader in mining technology, secured an important order to supply key equipment for Brightstar Resources’ Laverton Processing Plant, part of the Goldfields gold project in Western Australia. This project aims to process 1.5 million tonnes of gold ore annually, a significant step toward boosting regional mining output.
The order includes Weir’s newly upgraded ENDURON® ET series jaw crusher and ENDURON® EC series cone crusher, as well as WARMAN® pumps and CAVEX® hydrocyclones, all designed to optimize crushing and processing efficiency. Collaborating closely with GR Engineering Service Limited on circuit design, Weir is set to support installation and commissioning, ensuring the plant operates smoothly from the start.
Jyotirmoy Roy, General Manager APAC at Weir Equipment Solutions, highlighted the dedication behind the upgraded crushers, emphasizing their role in solving complex mining challenges. He also noted how modern miners increasingly view operations holistically, leveraging Weir’s broad equipment portfolio to improve the entire mining value chain. With Weir’s extensive service network nearby, Brightstar Resources is on track for their first gold production by mid-2027, promising a bright future for the project and the region.
