Tertiary Minerals extends high-grade silver-copper-zinc mineralisation at Mushima North

Tertiary Minerals plc announced encouraging results from new drilling at its Mushima North project, revealing that silver-copper-zinc mineralisation now extends beyond the depth of the previous Exploration Target. Most of the seven newly reported drill holes ended in mineralisation, confirming the deposit’s ongoing potential.
The latest Phase 4 drilling results include significant intercepts such as 82 metres grading 53 grams per tonne (g/t) silver equivalent starting just 7 metres downhole, alongside other strong intervals of 67 metres at 51 g/t AgEq from 19 metres and 46 metres at 63 g/t AgEq from 8 metres. Notably, a higher-grade zone was reaffirmed with 22 metres at 105 g/t AgEq from 64 metres, plus additional intervals of 12 metres at 104 g/t AgEq and 11 metres at 110 g/t AgEq.
Richard Belcher, Managing Director of Tertiary Minerals, commented, “These results continue to increase our confidence in the extent and continuity of grade within the Discovery Zone. Drill holes ending in grade have pushed the known mineralisation beyond the previous Exploration Target envelope. Importantly, the full depth potential and the possible transition from oxide to sulphide mineralisation have yet to be tested.”
The Discovery Zone currently holds a JORC-compliant Exploration Target estimated at 15 to 30 million tonnes grading between 40 and 60 g/t silver equivalent. Phase 4 drilling comprised 39 reverse-circulation holes totaling 3,639 metres, with results from 12 holes released so far and further assays expected in the coming weeks.
This extension of mineralisation and confirmation of high-grade zones underscore Mushima North’s potential as a significant resource, supporting Tertiary Minerals’ ongoing exploration and development efforts in Zambia.
