Ariana Resources has confirmed that the Tavşan gold mine in Türkiye has completed its ramp-up phase and is now consistently loading ore onto its heap-leach pads at the targeted rate of at least 4,000 tonnes per day.
The operation currently places around 60,000 tonnes of ore on the pads each month, with approximately 350,000 tonnes actively undergoing heap leaching. The recovery circuit is performing as expected, maintaining gold recovery at around 70%.
Ore stockpiles stand at about 750,000 tonnes, which include low-grade material that may be processed later in the mine’s lifecycle. Recent drilling results suggest potential extensions to the existing open pits, with Zenit currently assessing the data and revising mining plans accordingly.
In addition, Ariana’s 9.9% interest in the Kiziltepe assets has been transferred into a standalone company. The group is working towards selling this stake to Proccea Construction, a move designed to simplify Ariana’s Turkish portfolio and clearly separate the Kiziltepe asset from the Tavşan operation.
This milestone at Tavşan underlines Ariana Resources’ ongoing commitment to efficient and sustainable gold production in Türkiye and reflects the company’s strategic focus on optimising its asset base.
