Ariana Resources reports strong first-half profit in 2026

Ariana Resources plc has announced a significant rise in its first-half profit for 2026, ending June with £17.3 million in cash following strategic asset sales to support the development of its flagship Dokwe gold project in Zimbabwe.
For the six months ending 30 June, Ariana’s pre-tax profit soared to £6.25 million, up from just £151,000 the previous year. This increase includes a £4.51 million gain from asset disposals and £3.26 million from investment revaluations. Cash reserves grew substantially from £5.44 million at the start of the year, while the company fully repaid its RiverFort facility balance.
This financial improvement follows the sale of a 13.6% stake in Ariana’s 23.5% interest in Zenit to Özaltın for US$19.5 million, netting around US$17.2 million after taxes. In addition, Ariana sold its remaining interest in Kiziltepe for US$3.7 million, retaining exposure to Zenit’s Tavşan and Salinbaş assets.
At the Dokwe project, the mineral resource increased by 13% to 1.6 million ounces of gold. The Dokwe North ore reserve also grew by 42%, reaching 1.13 million ounces. The updated pre-feasibility study outlines a 12-year open-pit mining phase producing approximately 80,000 ounces annually, followed by eight years of stockpile processing, with total projected output of about 1.06 million ounces.
Ariana Resources is focused on advancing the definitive feasibility study for Dokwe throughout the remainder of 2026, aiming to further unlock the project’s potential and deliver long-term value for its stakeholders.
