Awalé Resources expands BBM gold zone at Odienné project in Côte d’Ivoire

Awale Resources Ltd. announced partial results from follow-up drilling at the BBM Zone at the Odienné project in Côte d’Ivoire, which notably included high-grade gold intercepts.

Highlights included intercepts of 35 meters at 3.3 grams per ton (g/t) gold equivalent (Au Eq.) and 17 meters at 2.4 g/t Au Eq in one hole.

Two other holes intercepted 52 meters at 2.0 g/t Au Eq and 32 meters at 2.1 g/t Au Eq.

The program has extended BBM’s strike length from about 400 meters to more than 600 meters, with mineralization defined from surface to 250 meters depth with truth widths of up to 50 meters.

“The high-grade core of BBM has now expanded to over 600 metres, with mineralization remaining open in multiple directions and showing signs of increasing grade at depth,” Awalé Resources CEO Andrew Chubb commented.

“BBM remains open, with a style of mineralization that allows for relatively straightforward growth and delineation of an open pit resource.”

Assay results for six more drill holes from this drill program from both the BBM and Charger targets are pending.

The company plans to kick off a new 8,000-meter program, fully funded by its partner Newmont, in the fourth quarter.

“These results emphasize this discovery’s potential scale and significance, and we are eager to expand BBM further as we continue to define this target with additional drilling beginning shortly,” Chubb said.
