Bosch Rexroth Africa Development appoints Ugandan distributor
Bosch Rexroth Africa Development (BRAD), a subsidiary of the Bosch Rexroth Africa Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of TOPTECH Industrial Solutions as its exclusive distributor in Kampala, Uganda. This strategic partnership, effective 29 February 2024, sees TOPTECH distributing the full range of Bosch Rexroth Africa’s product range across Uganda.
Industries targeted by TOPTECH include mining, manufacturing, energy, agriculture, and packaging. The agreement, which is valid for two years and is renewable, will see TOPTECH hold stock to target these Ugandan industries. “TOPTECH will hold a specified amount of stock to begin with,” says Petrus Viljoen, Manager, BRAD. “The absolute stockholding will be determined over time as we get to understand the Ugandan market’s requirements.”
“While TOPTECH is a distributor only at this point,” Viljoen points out, “the intention is to increase its service and manufacturing capabilities as the relationship between our two companies grows.”
“TOPTECH’s experience in the fluid power industry, financial backing to support business expansion and willingness to attend training secured them as our Ugandan distributor,” says Viljoen. “We look forward to a strong business relationship that will increase our footprint in Uganda and add value to our customers.”
Training for TOPTECH personnel will be provided in both Uganda and South Africa as specific needs are identified.
