Passport 360 now available in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace

Passport 360 today announced the availability of its product of the same name in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, an online store providing applications and services for use on Microsoft Azure. Passport 360 customers can now take advantage of the scalability, high availability, and security of Azure, with streamlined deployment and management.

Passport 360 is a SaaS solution that helps companies manage the safety and compliance of contractors, workforce, and equipment across projects, sites, locations, and operational units. By increasing visibility and automating processes, Passport 360 improves risk outcomes for complex compliance requirements in high-risk environments.

As a Microsoft gold ISV partner, Passport 360 uses the power of Microsoft Azure and AI to reduce the pain of compliance and consolidate critical safety data. The Passport 360 API seamlessly integrates data from multiple data points and different systems, such as access control, ERP, supply chain, risk management systems, and many others to provide one holistic view of the client’s safety and risk profile across their operations.

Launching Passport 360 in 2015, co-founders Siobahn Whitehead, CEO, and Simon Warne, CTO, saw the opportunity to use technology to support engineers and safety managers who were overwhelmed by manual processes and multiple isolated systems whilst managing the compliance requirements for contractors across their projects.

Passport 360 supports zero-harm by automating time-consuming safety and risk management processes across the end-to-end lifecycle of all client projects. This includes pre-qualification, evaluation, onboarding, project execution, and off-boarding.

One recent success story is where Passport 360 was used to streamline onboarding and compliance of contractors, resulting in efficiency improvement and massive cost savings in contractor safety compliance for Anglo American – Kumba Iron Ore. Prior to Passport 360 being implemented, contractor documentation became outdated due to manual processes and desktop audits, resulting in noncompliance and increased risk. Anglo American – Kumba Iron Ore also faced increased exposure due to a lack of training transparency and proof of competency.

Anglo American – Kumba Iron Ore was looking for a consolidated approach and a way to automate their manual systems, to streamline the process, and improve risk outcomes. Passport 360 integrated with internal client and third-party systems, including ERP, access control, clinic, and learning systems to consolidate critical contractor information into one holistic view.

After implementing Passport 360, the client achieved increased visibility of noncompliance, simplified approval processes resulting in time and cost savings, increased trust between all stakeholders, and reduced risk exposure. Direct results were achieved in the onboarding and management of over 9,000 employees and more than 11,000 contractors, resulting in a 40 percent time savings across contractor compliance processes.

Passport 360 takes advantage of Microsoft Azure to power, build, manage, and deploy the solution. This means it is scalable and uses the latest cloud computing infrastructure to ensure that client data is secure and easily accessible when needed. As a Microsoft gold ISV partner, Passport 360 has used the Microsoft Global Partner Network to support enterprise clients in different industries across the globe.

“Passport 360 uses Microsoft Cognitive Services to read documents and takes advantage of AI to search for information at any point using keywords on the platform,” said Simon Warne, CTO. “It also allows for understanding of documents stored in the system, which helps automate many cumbersome tasks.”

Sajan Parihar, Senior Director, Microsoft Azure Platform at Microsoft Corp., said, “We’re pleased to welcome Passport 360 to the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, which gives our partners great exposure to cloud customers around the globe. Azure Marketplace offers world-class quality experiences from global trusted partners with solutions tested to work seamlessly with Azure.”

The Azure Marketplace is an online market for buying and selling finished Software-as-a-Service applications and premium datasets. The Azure Marketplace helps connect companies seeking innovative, cloud-based solutions with partners who have developed solutions that are ready to use.

Passport 360, winner of the 2019 Innovation Award for Online Health & Safety Platforms, is available at its page in the Azure Marketplace as a Microsoft IP Co-sell and Microsoft Azure consumption commitment (MACC)-eligible product that caters to organisations in mining, manufacturing, energy, petrochemical, public-sector, logistics, security, and hospitality industries. The solution covers many aspects of safety management, including vendor management, visitor management, project safety management, PPE management, people & equipment management, learning management, and many others. This helps organisations better manage safety and risk requirements and streamline communication between various internal and external stakeholders.

Passport 360’s deep analytics provide clients with measurable data that can be actioned in real time, with increased visibility through Microsoft Power BI. Passport 360’s API and connectors allow clients to access data via their own data tools and integrate with Microsoft products across the Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft 365, or Dynamics 365 and Field Services.
