Prospect identifies new high-grade zone at Mumbezhi

Prospect Resources is pleased to provide an update, including further assay results for the Nyungu Central and Kabikupa deposits, from its recently completed Phase 2 drill programme at the Mumbezhi Copper Project (85% Prospect) in north-west Zambia.

Prospect’s Managing Director and CEO, Sam Hosack, commented:

“Mumbezhi continues to deliver scale potential, with the shallow intersection returned at the southern end of the Nyungu Central deposit in NCDD021 delivering substantial prospectivity for high-grade, near-surface tonnage growth into next year. “Whilst we have completed our drilling activities for 2025, we have a substantial pipeline of residual drill hole assays, pulp sample results and soil sample data to be returned over the next two months. These pending results are set to inform both our MRE update in Q1 2026 as well as overall planning for our drilling and exploration activities next year. “I am extremely proud of the achievements our team has delivered throughout 2025. Building on this strong foundation now amplified by the positive momentum generated from our recent AEM geophysical targeting results, we are well positioned to create significant value in 2026. I look forward to the opportunities ahead and to delivering meaningful outcomes for all our stakeholders and shareholders.”

New shallow high-grade drilling results from Nyungu Central

Prospect has received further significant drill assays from three holes completed at Nyungu Central during the Phase 2 diamond drilling programme aimed at extending the existing Indicated and Inferred MRE defined at the deposit (which totals 86.7 Mt @ 0.5% Cu (at 0.2% Cu cut-off grade).

The latter part of this work focused on the under-drilled area at the southern end of the existing MRE, where copper mineralisation surfaces up plunge before being terminated or offset on an east-southeast trending fault.

Drill hole NCDD021 returned a highly encouraging shallow intercept of 34m @ 0.88% Cu from 128m, and 2.7m @ 0.52% Cu from 114.3m.

The result from NCDD021 is important as it grows the potential to define significant near-surface tonnages and extensions to the large-scale copper system already defined at Nyungu Central.

Two significant intervals also recently returned from Nyungu Central include:

  • NCMT001: 8.46m @ 0.34% Cu from 213.5m (sulphide) and 6.0m @ 0.42% Cu (oxide) from 50m.
  • NCDD017: 2.06m @ 0.33% Cu from 50.9m (oxide).

Final Phase 2 results from Kabikupa

Final assays have also been received from diamond drilling undertaken at the Kabikupa deposit as part of the Phase 2 programme at Mumbezhi. These residual assays were from a dedicated metallurgical hole, which returned:

  • KKMT001: 18.6m @ 0.48% Cu from 98m (fresh), incl. 13.6m @ 0.56% Cu from 103m and 5.0m @ 0.35% Cu from 72.0m (transitional)

The Phase 2 drilling programme at Kabikupa was aimed at growing the existing Inferred Mineral Resource estimate, which totals 20.5 Mt @ 0.5% Cu (at 0.2% Cu cut-off grade).

Pending Phase 2 results and next steps

As previously announced, the Phase 2 drilling programme at Mumbezhi is complete. It included a total of just under 14,770 metres of diamond drilling across 59 holes (including 8 re-entries), with assays outstanding from four holes at Nyungu Central.

All outstanding assays from the diamond drilling programme are expected to be received by midJanuary 2026.

The Phase 2 diamond drilling was supplemented with just over 3,500 metres of shallow aircore drilling for 165 holes, which has proven a definitive exploration technique regionally to assist in delineating new subsurface targets.

The cost-effective aircore drilling covers wide swathes of prospective ground rapidly at Mumbezhi and is planned to be utilised much more widely next year, following up new targets generated from the recent comprehensive geophysical AEM surveying and complemented by a licence-wide geochemical soil sampling programme (with 65% of those assays still pending).

Similarly, surface IP geophysical surveys have recently been completed at Kamafamba, Luamvunda and Shikezi, with geophysical interpretation underway.

An updated MRE for both the Nyungu Central and Kabikupa deposits is on track for completion during Q1 2026. This update is expected to include an initial assessment of the deportment of gold mineralisation at Nyungu Central, particularly for the transitional zone.

The dedicated metallurgical drill hole (KKMT001) completed at Kabikupa is undergoing composite sampling of its transitional and fresh mineralisation. Samples will then be sent to Core Metallurgy in Brisbane (Australia) for comprehensive testing. Initial results from this testing are anticipated in February 2026.

Termite hill geochemical sampling is also underway on the significant Sharamba and Chipimpa conductors recently identified from preliminary interpretation of the comprehensive Mumbezhi airborne electromagnetic geophysical survey (AEM).

In addition, all residual assays from the licence-wide soil geochemical programme completed in September, are expected by late December.
