The State Mining Corporation (STAMICO) engaged in discussions with a delegation of Saudi Arabian business people in Dar es Salaam to explore investment opportunities across Tanzania’s mineral resources value chain. This initiative aims to enhance the benefits of the mining sector for Tanzanians through strategic partnerships and increased investment.
During the meeting, STAMICO provided the delegation with comprehensive information on available opportunities within the mining sector and explored potential collaborations on various projects. The talks reflect STAMICO’s ongoing commitment to welcoming investors under government regulations while ensuring that investments deliver mutual benefits.
STAMICO Managing Director Dr. Venance Mwasse emphasized the corporation’s transparent and commercial approach designed to reduce bureaucratic obstacles and expedite project implementation. “STAMICO is the right corporation to partner with because it has highly skilled and experienced professionals, strong relationships with communities surrounding its projects, and the capacity to collaborate with other institutions,” Dr. Mwasse stated.
Abdulrahman Al Thobaity, Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Business Council in Tanzania, expressed appreciation for the detailed briefing on investment opportunities and potential areas of cooperation in Tanzania’s mining sector.
STAMICO Research Manager Frederick Mangasini presented diverse investment prospects, including projects in gold, coal, and copper mining, alongside initiatives to support the development of small-scale miners.
This meeting is part of STAMICO’s broader efforts to promote investment, increase production, add value, and generate employment within Tanzania’s mining sector.
