ACG Metals Ltd. said it has lifted commercial gold recovery at its Gediktepe mine in Türkiye to around 85%, from about 75% previously, after introducing a proprietary metallurgical process.
The company said the process, developed internally and now patented in Türkiye, has also reduced cyanide consumption by around 45% and shortened leach cycle times under commercial operating conditions.
Work carried out between April 2025 and June 2026 delivered sustained and repeatable improvements in heap leach performance, ACG said, contributing to lower operating costs, stronger cash flow and improved margins from oxide ore.
Chairman and chief executive Artem Volynets said the improvements demonstrated the strength of ACG’s technical team, adding that “disciplined process control and recovery efficiency” would be key as the company moves into sulphide ramp-up and copper production.
ACG said patent applications for the process are progressing in 35 other countries and that it intends to apply the approach to sulphide and transitional ore at Gediktepe, which is expected to transition to primary copper and zinc production from 2026.
