Asante Gold Corporation is pleased to share its production and cost guidance for the full year 2026, alongside progress updates on operational initiatives at its Bibiani and Chirano Gold Mines.
The company’s recent strategic operating review has resulted in an operating plan designed to deliver a more efficient, predictable, and sustainable gold production platform over the next 12 months and beyond.
2026 production and cost expectations
- Gold production for 2026 is forecasted between 275,000 and 300,000 ounces.
- The anticipated All-In-Sustaining-Cost (AISC) is between US$3,200 and US$3,600 per ounce.
- Significantly higher production and reduced costs are expected in the second half of 2026, especially in the fourth quarter, supported by progressive access to higher-grade material at Bibiani’s northern Main Pit.
A comprehensive program spanning mining, processing, capital projects, and supply chain is underway across both operations to boost production and lower costs. Approximately US$50 million in previously planned capital expenditures have been deferred or cancelled, with further initiatives targeting ongoing cost efficiency throughout the latter half of 2026 and into 2027.
Updated NI 43-101 Mineral Resource and Reserve disclosures for Bibiani and Chirano, released on August 5, 2026, underline the long-term potential of both mines.
Campbell Baird, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Asante, stated: “The first half of 2026 has been marked by significant investments in mining capacity, operational infrastructure, and processing plant enhancements at both sites. While challenges remain, we believe the business is transitioning from building its operational platform to consistently realizing the benefits of these investments.”
“Sustainable improvement isn’t measured solely by project completions but by delivering safe, reliable performance and stronger financial results. Our focus is on disciplined execution, accountability, and achieving predictable gold production, improving metallurgical recoveries and plant utilization, reducing operating costs through increased efficiency, and generating stronger free cash flow,” Baird added.
Asante Gold Corporation remains committed to executing its operational plan with discipline and transparency, aiming to deliver enhanced value through improved production efficiency and cost management in 2026 and beyond.
